A mammoth plant sale takes place every year on National Mills Day (the second Sunday in May which in 2011 is 8th May) when the mill, gardens and smallholding is open to the public.
Other public opening times for the gardens, smallholding and the mill are:
Open Farm Sunday on June 12th 2011 for LEAF (Linking Education And Farming)
Bridgerule Open Gardens in aid of Devon Air Ambulance on Sunday 19th June 2011. Money raised for this event in 2010 was £1,935.
In addition to the above opening times, we do, of course, open to visiting groups - garden clubs and W.I.s etc. as well as school and youth groups
Details of these free visits can be found here.
We encourage visiting schools to take away with them some free plants for the school pond or conservation area.
HOW TO FIND THE BRIDGE MILL
The Bridge Mill is in Bridgerule, Devon, a small village on the River Tamar between Holsworthy and Bude.
From Holsworthy take the road to Bude (A 3072). You will pass Rydon Park, then the Golf Club on the left. After the golf club there a couple of bends in the road before you reach a left turn signed to Bridgerule. Turn left here and drive for three miles. As you enter the village of Bridgerule, you will pass the church on your right. Drive down the hill (take care as the road is very narrow). The mill is on the right at the bottom of the hill opposite “Short and Abbot” agricultural engineers.
